About Blum Cart Template Section
The cart template in Blum allows you to customize how your cart page or cart drawer looks and functions.
By default, the Cart template contains one mandatory Cart page section. This section cannot be removed, but you can hide it or add additional sections (such as complementary products or countdown timers) to enrich the cart experience.
Aside from this section, you can freely add or remove any other sections on the Cart template.
When customers view their cart, they see each item with a product image, name, variant, quantity selector and price. A subtotal appears below the list, along with any applicable discounts. If you enable free‑shipping or discount features, progress bars and discount fields will show in this area. At the bottom, a Check Out button (and an optional dynamic checkout button) takes customers to the next step.
When the cart is empty, a friendly message like “Your cart is empty” and a Continue Shopping link encourage customers to return to the shop.
Access Blum Cart Template Section
In the Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
At the top of the Theme Editor, click the page dropdown (it shows the current page, such as Home page). From the list, select Cart. The editor will load the Cart template so you can configure it.
Blum Cart Template Section Configuration
The cart’s behaviour and appearance are controlled by both the Cart page section and the Theme settings → Cart panel. Below you’ll find an explanation of each option and how to use it.
By default, the layout of the Blum Cart page follows the default settings on the Shopify Cart page, which shows brief Product Details (including Product image, product name, and product variant), Product Quantity, Product Price, and SubTotal of the order, with a Call-To-Action button to the Check Out page.
If there are no products on the Cart page, there will be a notification “Your cart is empty” and a Call-To-Action button for Continue Shopping.
If there are discount products in the cart, there will be a subtotal price discount which lets customers know how much they get discounted in total.
